Enhancing Excellence, 2021-2024
UT AgResearch is committed to supporting the priorities of UTIA’s strategic plan: A Decade of Excellence. Throughout 2020, a dedicated and engaged committee of faculty and staff brought a range of backgrounds and diverse perspectives together to develop this three-year strategic action plan. It will guide our work to attain the Institute’s overarching goals of driving innovation, expanding real life learning, strengthening and diversifying resources, and improving Institute effectiveness. The Strategic Action Plan developed by the committee established four objectives that position AgResearch to better meet the needs of our faculty as they address increasingly complex research challenges:
- Balance Portfolio with integrated, transdisciplinary programs
- Cultivate Teams approach to complex problems
- Advance Concepts with structured support
- Ensure R&D Capacity with targeted investment
The goals are lofty. The plan, ambitious. But, our success will improve the quality of life of all Tennesseans and others throughout the region and beyond.
